  • Shari with a 1.19% weight loss - way to go Shari!
  • Lorraine was 2nd with a .94% weight loss
  • Nancy reported in with slight gain - don't be discouraged - remember, we are in this for the long haul, so there are bound to be ups and downs. The important thing is to keep with it!

Nancy with a percentage of weight loss of 4.06%. Way to go, Nancy!

In second place this week is Lorraine with 2.29%.

Close behind are Julianne at 1.85% - followed closely by Shari at 1.61%

Robin forgot to weigh in last week, so she won't officially join the challenge until next week. I didn't hear from Carol E.

I've been walking my little dog's ass off!

So, since we got Daisy, I have been making her walk with me every day.... I think we got a defective puppy that doesn't like to walk though, because she fights me every step of the way... at least on the way away from the house. As soon as we turn around and head home, she perks right up and starts practically running toward the house. We are gonna have to work on her leash skillz, I think.

Who else has been getting their daily exercise? In addition to walking with Daisy, I also walk every day at work. A group of us usually head outside around 10 am to take a lap around the building. Its a pretty nice walk actually. Hopefully I can keep it up over the next few weeks- it is going to be somewhat busy at work since my co-worker is on vacation, I have a sales and use tax audit that I am preparing for, and we have some big deadlines coming up to boot. I think that is one of my issues that it is really easy for me to say, well, im too busy, so something has to give, and usually the first thing to go is the exercise. Need to change that!!!

The Challenge is ON! Good Luck

August 1 has arrived and it's time to get serious about the challenge.

We will determine our progress by recording percentage of weight loss. Here's how it will work:

  1. Weigh yourself today (you don't need to send me your starting weight - we will use only percentage of weight loss so no one has to disclose their actual weight).
  2. Weigh yourself next Saturday
  3. Divide the number of pounds lost by your weight "last week" and multiply by 100
    example: last week = 175 this week = 173 pounds lost = 2
    2/175 = .011 .011 x 100 = 1.1%
  4. Send me an e-mail with your percentage of weight loss by 6 pm next Saturday and I will compile the results and post them to the blog.
  5. The winner will get 5 points and the second place person will get 3 points.
  6. The person with the most points on December 1 wins!
  7. Prize will determined later by everyone in the challenge.

Please let me know if you need help navigating the blog. I will add all of you to the list of people who can post to the blog. Please use the blog to share your ideas and feelings. The whole point of using the blog is so that we can support each other.
